The Allen Independent School District serves the rapidly growing city of Allen Texas. In fact District enrollment has more than doubled since 1989, and the AISD now educates around 20,000 kids. The rate of growth has slowed recently to around 4%. Folks in Allen jokingly
call Allen High School “the University of Allen” because of its large size. But I can tell you that Allen residents mostly agree, having just one high school is a great benefit. The entire community rallies around the school where it’s “all for one and one for all”. The Allen ISD has earned an Exemplary Rating from the state with eighteen Allen campuses rated Exemplary and two campuses rated as Recognized.

Allen ISD covers most of the city of Allen, as well as portions of the cities of McKinney, Plano, and Parker. The district boasts several Blue Ribbon Schools and has been rated “exemplary” by the Texas Education Agency.
